Originally made of cotton or flax, most modern webbing is made of synthetic fibers such as nylon, polypropylene or polyester. Al Scates (born 9 June 1939) is an American volleyball player and former volleyball coach of the UCLA Bruins of the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.
